On February 22-25, 2024, we had the opportunity to take part in a training and workshop with the Middle East tourism industry in Qatar. The training was organized by the Polish Tourist Organization, in cooperation with Consul Bożena Czaja. The meetings were attended by representatives of the tourism industry from all over Poland.
During our stay, we had the opportunity to take part in a Side Inspection of hotels and learn what requirements guests from Qatar may have towards our industry.
We are glad that the city of Wrocław and the Wrocław Tourism Organisation joined this project. We want to actively and responsibly build tourism cooperation with new foreign markets. The Middle East is interesting and important. Tourists from Arab countries are more and more willing to visit Poland, which is why meetings and trainings during which we learn about their culture and expectations are so important.
Poland, thanks to the growing number of connections with the Persian Gulf countries, is gaining popularity as a travel destination for tourists from this region. The development of the connection network is always a factor that has a positive impact on tourist traffic. The summer heat in the Persian Gulf countries motivates us to seek out and visit countries with a temperate climate, rich in opportunities for outdoor recreation. Poland’s advantage is its natural values, offering beautiful views, walks in greenery, and even rain may be an attraction. Equally important are shopping, appropriate accommodation and the availability of cuisine that meets the requirements related to the culture of these countries.
