The industry meeting organized by the Convention Bureau – Wrocław took place on April 9, 2024, at the BaseCamp Wrocław building on Sienkiewicza Street.
During this event, the dynamic growth in the number of events held in Wrocław for groups exceeding 50 people over the past few years was discussed, rising from 1019 in 2022 to 1521 in 2023. Local Professional Congress Organizers and Professional Incentive Travel Organizers were also recognized and awarded recommendation certificates. Among them were Power Events, Exploring Events, Wrocmania, Bissole, Compani, Fabryka Wydarzeń, and Argentum.
One of the key topics of the meeting was neuroevents. Justyna Miłosz-Konopacka from the Academy of Music presented the concept of “Brain-friendly Events,” based on Nina Żukowska’s publication. The discussion covered the participants’ needs, including the need for safety and the importance of proper diet during events, especially Brain Food diet, which supports brain function.
During the discussion, issues related to the arrangement of event spaces were addressed, taking into account vegetation and sensory factors such as lighting and acoustics. Designated thematic zones, such as the full focus zone or energy zone, aimed to provide participants with the opportunity to focus or relax actively.
The substantive part concluded with a panel discussion on “Perspectives on Human Resources in the Local MICE Industry,” which was attended by representatives of local companies and institutions associated with the event industry. The panel included:
- Marek Karyś – General Manager of Hotel Altus Palace Wrocław,
- Wiola Samborska – Director of CEE Hydropolis, CMO of MPWiK Wrocław,
- Paweł Haberka – General Manager/Owner at PowerEvents,
