On August 24th, a unique event called “Gastro – Networking” took place at the Aula of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, gathering members of the Wrocław Tourism Organisation, as well as gastronomy enthusiasts and representatives of the culinary industry. This summer edition of WRO Networking aimed to integrate local entrepreneurs and facilitate the exchange of experiences in an informal setting.
The event began with a welcome from Alfred Wagner, President of the Wrocław Tourism Organisation, and Dr. Marta Płonka, Vice-Rector for External Cooperation at ASP. Maciej Koła, the initiator of the Gastro Miasto Festival, presented the concept of this unique event, which was also held simultaneously at the Xawery Dunikowski Boulevard.
During the meeting, participants had the opportunity to discover various gastronomic and cultural initiatives thriving in Wrocław. Presentations were given by places like Browar Stu Mostów, Vertigo Jazz Club & Restaurant, Zazoo / Hotspot, and Serotonina – a cheese maker that offered tastings of their products. Dziki Zwierz also showcased their unique offerings, serving venison burgers. Additionally, Patrycja Nawrocka, representing Flow – For Lovers Of Wine Festival, invited guests to taste Lower Silesian wines, while Meatologia provided exceptional smashburgers.
After the official part of the event, participants walked together to the Xawery Dunikowski Boulevard, where they could enjoy the atmosphere of the Gastro Miasto Festival. During the festival, attendees had the opportunity to taste dishes from various food stalls and establish new connections in a friendly setting around a communal table.
The event concluded with a relaxing solar-powered catamaran cruise with City Boats, allowing participants to unwind and admire the beauty of Wrocław from the perspective of the Oder River.
The “Gastro – Networking” meeting proved to be not only an excellent opportunity to taste local specialties but also to deepen knowledge about innovative solutions used in the gastronomic industry. We thank all participants for their active involvement and look forward to future editions of this inspiring event!
