The 6th European Tourism Forum was held in Wrocław on 19–21 November 2025. This year’s edition, titled “Determinants of Tourism Development: Research, Education, Business, Administration”, gathered representatives of academia, the tourism industry, public administration and sector organisations from across the country.

The Forum was organised by the University School of Physical Education in Wrocław, Convention Bureau – Wrocław, WROt and the Lower Silesian Tourist Organisation.

Programme

The first day of the Forum took place at Wrocław Airport Terminal and featured a dedicated MICE session, registration and networking opportunities.

The following two days were filled with expert presentations, thematic panels and discussions. Key topics included:

  • directions of tourism development in Poland and Europe,

  • challenges related to sustainable visitor management,

  • evolving consumer behaviour,

  • the role of research and education in the tourism sector,

  • the potential of business, culinary and cultural tourism,

  • cooperation between academia, local authorities and business.

The Forum also served as a platform for exchanging experiences and best practices. Participants had the opportunity to establish new contacts and discuss current trends and innovations shaping the future of tourism.

Significance

This year’s edition confirmed that effective tourism development requires integrating scientific, administrative and business perspectives. As the host city, Wrocław once again became a space for strategic dialogue on the future of the sector. The Forum provided an important impulse for further cooperation supporting tourism growth in the region and nationwide.
