From 3–5 March, Wrocław was present at ITB Berlin – the largest tourism trade fair in Europe. The Wrocław Tourism Organization (WROt) took part in the event, presenting the city’s offer aimed primarily at visitors interested in city breaks, as well as its culinary and water-based tourism offer.
It is worth noting that Wrocław can be reached from Berlin not only by kayak but also by larger vessels.
Promotion of WROt Members
During the fair, WROt promoted its members. Particular interest was shown in the hotel leaflet as well as the “Wrocław for the Weekend” brochure.
Representatives of Wrocław institutions and partners were also present at the stand:
-
Hotel Monopol
-
National Forum of Music
-
National Museum in Wrocław
The Wrocław stand was shared with the Dolnośląska Tourism Organization and the Izerska Local Tourism Organization. The entire Polish national stand was organized, as every year, by the Polish Tourism Organization.
Culinary Highlights from Wrocław
During the fair, tastings prepared by selected Michelin Guide restaurants took place at the Polish stand. Special dishes were personally served by the chefs:
Małgorzata Karkocha-Jakubowska (Ida Kuchnia i Wino) and Łukasz Budzik (MOST / Między Mostami).
Exhibitors’ Evening
One of the most important accompanying events of the fair was the Exhibitors’ Evening, organized by the Polish Tourism Organization, with Wrocław as a partner of the event. Around 250 exhibitors and business partnersattended the meeting, which took place from 17:00 to 21:00.
Wrocław provided the culinary setting for the event. Finger food was prepared and served by Przystań & Marina (Michelin recommended). Guests could also taste craft beer from Browar Stu Mostów and Lower Silesian winesprovided by the partner Wrocławski Kredens.
Germany – the Largest Foreign Tourist Market
German visitors are the largest group of international tourists visiting Wrocław – last year the city welcomed approximately 250,000 tourists from Germany.
