On 23 May, the Olympic Stadium and the campus of AWF Wrocław turned into a vibrant space filled with sports, family activities, and positive energy. The 8th edition of the “Get Some Fresh Air at the Olympic Stadium with AWF Wrocław” Festival attracted hundreds of Wrocław residents who spent the day enjoying a wide range of attractions prepared by the organisers and event partners.
This year’s edition took place in beautiful sunny weather, and the programme was packed with activities for participants of all ages. Visitors could enjoy sports shows, competitions, workshops, artistic performances, and meetings with outstanding athletes connected with Wrocław and AWF Wrocław. The Olympic champions zone, basketball games featuring sports legends, yoga sessions, Nordic Walking activities, and Panthers Wrocław flag football demonstrations attracted particularly large audiences.
WROt also actively participated in the event, presenting the offer of its members and promoting the tourist attractions of Wrocław and the region. The organisation’s stand was visited by families, residents, and people looking for inspiration for active leisure activities in the city. Visitors had the opportunity to discover local attractions, events, and places recommended by WROt members, as well as receive promotional and tourist materials.
The festival once again showed that sport and tourism complement each other perfectly, encouraging an active lifestyle and inspiring people to explore the city in many different ways. The event also created an excellent opportunity for community integration and the promotion of healthy recreation and outdoor activities.
The youngest participants enjoyed animations, face painting, physical games, and a military obstacle course, while adults could visit educational and health-focused zones. There were also rescue demonstrations, activities prepared by uniformed services, and the ever-popular military pea soup served to participants.
The 8th “Get Some Fresh Air at the Olympic Stadium with AWF Wrocław” Festival once again proved that sport, recreation, and positive energy can bring generations together and create a unique atmosphere in the heart of Wrocław.
