Tourism organisations representing metropolitan cities in Poland have signed an agreement on cooperation for the development of urban tourism. From now on they will speak together on many issues.
Gdańsk, Krakow, Lublin, Łódź, Poznań, Warsaw and Wrocław – these seven metropolitan Local Tourist Organisations have decided to work closely together for the sustainable development of urban tourism. The agreement was signed by the presidents of the tourism organisations during the PTO-ROT-LOT Forum in Arlamow on 22 October 2024. The document includes provisions on strengthening the image of Polish cities internationally and increasing the attractiveness of their tourism offer.
As part of their cooperation, the organisations have pledged to carry out joint promotional campaigns, participate in international fairs and organise events to promote the cities. The agreement also provides for the regular exchange of tourism data and analyses, partnership and entity cooperation with the Polish Tourist Organisation, as well as support in the implementation of projects financed by national and European funds.
Joint activities will also include educational initiatives aimed at tourism industry employees to improve their professional competences and promote best practices. The agreement has been concluded for an indefinite period, which underlines the parties’ long-term commitment to working together for the dynamic development of urban tourism in Poland.
