The celebrations began with the unveiling the new ‘resident of the city’ – dwarf DIT-ek by the authorities of Wrocław and members od Lower Silesian Chamber of Tourism (Dolnośląska Izba Turystyczna – ‘DIT’) on Świdnicka Street, next to the bar ‘Barbara’.
DITek looks like a real tourist! It has a backpack, a map with the inscription DIT, a coach and even a plane.
Another element of the celebrations was the Gala in the Wrocław City Hall, during which the Decorations, Badges and Distinctions and Awards were presented, including the “Bronze Cross of Merit”, Badges of Honor ” For Merit to Tourism” and “Golden Badges of DIT”.
All the awards were followed by speeches from invited guests from the national industry, who offered their best wishes and thanks to DIT members for 30 years of work for tourism. Mr. Jakub Mazur Deputy Mayor of Wrocław, in addition to wishing everyone well, presented the Medal “For Merits to Wroclaw” to DIT President Marek Ciechanowski.
The last, less official part took place at the Ibis Styles Hotel, during which the participants could reminisce about the 30 years of DIT’s activity on the local tourism market.
We wish all the best to our member and more years full of success! 🙂
