In April and May 2025, the Wrocław Tourism Organization organized a series of free training sessions for representatives of the tourism and hospitality sectors. The main theme was professional service for tourists from Arab countries – a growing group of international visitors choosing Poland and Lower Silesia as their travel destination.
The goal of the series was to prepare local businesses and staff to serve Middle Eastern guests effectively, respectfully, and with cultural awareness.
Training for the Gastronomy Sector – April 23, 2025, Mercure Wrocław Centrum
This session, aimed at restaurant owners, managers, and service staff, was led by Agnieszka Puszczewicz – tourism marketing expert and certified halal specialist. The training covered Arab food culture, halal standards, guest expectations, and how to build trust and loyalty through high-quality service.
Training for Tour Guides and Tour Operators – May 7, 2025, Piwnica Świdnicka
Led by Krzysztof Steiman, Commercial Director at Air Arabia and expert in Arab culture and intercultural communication, this session focused on:

expectations of Arab tourists,

how to discuss history, religion, and customs with sensitivity,

and practical techniques for engaging and managing groups from the Gulf region.
Training for Tourist Attractions – May 13, 2025, Kolejkowo
Agnieszka Puszczewicz and Krzysztof Steiman co-hosted this workshop for representatives of tourist attractions. The content included:

the importance of privacy and designated prayer spaces,

and effective marketing communication strategies for reaching the Arab market.
Training for the Hospitality Sector – May 14, 2025, ibis Styles Wrocław Centrum
The final training session was designed for hotel managers and frontline staff. Led by Agnieszka Puszczewicz and Krzysztof Steiman, the agenda covered:

accommodation standards and privacy expectations,

halal meals and special services during Ramadan,

and how to adapt wellness and SPA offers to cultural norms.
Practical Value and Positive Reception
Each participant received a certificate of attendance. The sessions were interactive, filled with case studies and real-life examples from both the Polish and international hospitality markets. Attendees praised the sessions for their practical focus, clear guidelines, and open format, which allowed for in-depth discussion and questions.
The series was held in partnership with the Lower Silesian Tourism Organization and co-financed by the budget of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Self-Government.
