On August 23, 2024, the historic Piwnica Świdnicka hosted the third meeting with Maciej Dobrzyniecki, which brought together local leaders in the gastronomy sector. The main topic of discussion was how to enhance the tourism potential of the Wrocław region and implement the best global standards in gastronomy.
The event attracted not only sommeliers but also other representatives from the HoReCa sector, who participated with great interest in the discussions.
The special guest of the event was Paweł Białołęcki, one of the most esteemed sommeliers in Poland. Paweł Białołęcki, who earned the title of Vice-Champion of Polish Sommeliers in 2011 and 2012, as well as third place in these prestigious competitions in 2010 and 2013, shared his experience and knowledge. His achievements also include a silver medal at the Central European Sommeliers’ Championships. His curated wine selections, which have been praised in Tim Atkin’s reviews in The Economist, garnered particular interest.
During the meeting, Paweł Białołęcki emphasized the importance of quality in wine selection and its role in creating unforgettable culinary experiences. His presentation inspired participants to raise standards in their establishments and to create unique offerings that could attract both local residents and tourists.
The meeting was organized in collaboration with the Office of Economic Development and the Department of City Promotion and Tourism of the Wrocław City Hall.
