The promotional spot for Wrocław – Wrocław City of Adventure, in the version with English dubbing, received the Silver Award in the US International Award competition in the USA! This is the second international award that Wrocław received for promotional material.
On June 26, the list of winners of this year’s edition of the US International Award (also known as the US International Film and Video Festival) was announced. This is one of the oldest competitions of this type – the first edition took place in 1967. From 2021, the competition is part of a series of festivals organized by Filmservice International – the largest organizer of corporate film festivals. These are awards given to the best documentary films, global corporate, online and social media productions. The competition’s mission is to ‘recognize high-quality work produced for industry, associations, governments and educational organizations that aims to inform, motivate, stimulate or educate audiences.’ Last year, the awards included: Ewa Ewart’s documentary ‘To the Last Drop’ and ‘Young Belarus’ by Ł. Ruciński – TVN productions.
Wrocław City of Adventure – this is a promotional spot prepared by the Department of City Promotion and Tourism of the Wrocław City Hall, on the basis of which, since last year, in cooperation with the Wrocław Tourist Organization, the city’s tourist campaign has been implemented. The material, prepared in the form of a trailer for an adventure film, refers to the style of ‘the Indiana Jones’ series. The film draws on the Wrocław legend about the lost treasure of Piotr Włostowic and the Ołbiński Abbey. The material includes photos of, among others: from the Wrocław Zoo, the National Forum of Music, and the Market Square. The spot features talented actors of the young generation – Marianna Zydek (known from productions such as ‘Kamerdyner’ or ‘Figurant’) and Piotr Nerlewski (‘Jack Strong’, ‘M jak miłość’), as well as the legend of Polish cinema: Daniel Olbrychski. The film’s producer is the MagicLine Group, and its director is Michał Zieliński.
