Wrocław once again turned into a fairy-tale land – the Wrocław Dwarf Festival has come to an end! For two days, on September 12–13, 2025, the city was filled with colors, music, and activities for children and families.
Day One – parade and competitions
The festival opened on Friday with the traditional Great Dwarf Parade, which set off from the Pillory and marched joyfully to the Old Town Garden. There, children enjoyed fairy tales on the Summer Stage of the Puppet Theatre, art contests, and a competition for the best dwarf costumes. Artistic performances and animations added to the fun, and visitors could also enjoy free rides on a historic tram.
Day Two – the big dwarf village
On Saturday, the Old Town Garden transformed into a lively dwarf village. The program featured brand-new fairy tales about Wrocław’s dwarfs, a concert by Majka Jeżowska, and a performance by local artist Basia Piotrowska. Spectators admired acrobats, a dwarf magician show, and took part in various activities: game zones, playgrounds, dance sessions, as well as the Storytellers’ Zone with live fairy tales, improvised mini-performances, retro fairy tales with live music, and an open-air mini cinema.
A major highlight was the Dwarf Cup Board Game Tournament, held both at Mediateka and the café Awaria Prądu, attracting players of all ages.
A magical weekend with dwarfs
The festival once again proved that Wrocław’s dwarfs are not only a tourist attraction but also a vital part of the city’s identity – combining history with creative play and family fun.
