On April 26–27, 2025, the city of Legnica hosted the fourth edition of the open-air event “Opening of the Tourist Season in Lower Silesia.” The Wrocław Tourism Organization actively participated in this unique initiative, promoting Wrocław as an attractive and tourist-ready destination. The event was organized by the Lower Silesian Tourism Organization and the City of Legnica, with the support of the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
Promoting Wrocław – the Heart of Lower Silesia
Our booth attracted great interest – residents of Legnica, tourists, and event participants eagerly reached for promotional materials and asked about seasonal highlights, cultural events, themed tours, and sightseeing opportunities in the capital of Lower Silesia. Together with our partners, we showcased Wrocław as a destination worth visiting all year round – rich in history, modernity, and vibrant experiences.
Legnica as Host
The event, organized by the Lower Silesian Tourism Organization and the City of Legnica, brought together over 60 exhibitors from the region and beyond. The market square buzzed with activity: workshops, presentations, concerts, children’s attractions, and guided city tours took place. Highlights included meetings with travel bloggers and a talk by adventurer Przemek Kossakowski, who shared stories from his explorations of lesser-known places in Poland.
Integration, Inspiration, Collaboration
The season opening was not only a celebration of tourism, but also a perfect opportunity for collaboration and knowledge-sharing among tourism institutions, local organizations, and industry professionals from across the region. The presence of the Wrocław Tourism Organization emphasized the importance of joint regional promotion and the strength of the Wrocław brand on Poland’s tourism map.
