The first Finnair flight from Wrocław to Helsinki-Vantaa Airport took place on April 2, 2024. Cruises take place every day and are very popular.
On April 4, the official inauguration of the connection took place at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport in cooperation with representatives of the Polish Embassy in Helsinki, ZOPOT Stockholm, Finnair Airlines and Vantaa Airport.
Together with the City of Wrocław and ZOPOT Stockholm, we organized a stand with promotional and informational materials about Wrocław and Poland in the arrivals hall at Finavia airport. The stand enjoyed great interest among those arriving. The main part was the official opening and speeches by representatives of all those involved in launching the connection, i.e. Finnair, Finavia airport, the Polish Embassy in Helsinki, ZOPOT Szokholm and Wrocław. People flying that day were ceremonially welcomed and treated to refreshments. They also had the opportunity to learn about Wrocław.
We are happy to present Wrocław as a new destination. We believe that Wrocław is not only a welcome addition for business travelers, but also an intriguing vacation destination for those looking for a city break in picturesque surroundings.
In cooperation with Finnair and the City of Wrocław, we also organized a visit to Wrocław for journalists from Finland writing for Matka magazines and Seura.
The journalists spent five days in Wrocław. During their visit, they also visited Książ Castle and Świdnica with the Lower Silesian Tourism Organisation. Material from this visit is already available, among others, in issue 3/2024 Matka magazines.
