We cordially invite you to participate in the bicycle competition “W Kółko Kręcę”, of which the Wrocław Tourist Organization is a partner.
The aim of the Competition is to promote cycling on the way to work, school and university, and to popularize cycling as a year-round, fast, healthy, cheap and independent means of transport in urban space, as well as to extend the cycling season. The competition takes place on 2-10.-30.11 in the free wkolkokrece application, for Android and iOS.
Target group:
Active people, students, youth studying in secondary schools and seniors.
Duration:
October 2 – November 30, 2023
The main prizes are 3 bicycles and 300 additional prizes (bicycle panniers, bicycle lights, bicycle locks, sweatshirts, T-shirts, bicycle coats, socks, books, tickets to many attractions: Centennial Hall, Aquapark, Kolejkowo, climbing walls, ZOO, Puppet Theater , discounts to outlet fashion, discounts on websites, invitations for coffee, ice cream, etc. All prizes in the application.
Rules of competition
The competition was conducted using the application called “W Kółko Kręcę.” It involves gaining points by cycling to and from work/school/university, as well as for recreation. The condition for participating in the competition is to create a participant account in the application and select the participant’s university, school, place of work or place of regular commuting (e.g. senior club). The competition takes place in established school or university groups. Participants can also create groups of their companies.
In competition, regularity is the key to victory. Participants earn additional points for regular driving 5 days in a row. And from November 20, points awarded are counted twice. Participants also receive points for inviting friends to compete.
Compared to the previous editions of “W Kółko Kręcę” several changes were introduced at the request of participants: a new group was added: seniors, the start or end of the ride could take place outside Wrocław (neighboring communes). The changes also concerned several functionalities in the application, e.g. a virtual kiosk was created from which the participant selects prizes independently.
