Representatives of the hotel, restaurant, and wider HoReCa industry are invited to take part in a free training session dedicated to serving tourists from South Korea. The event will take place on 28 May 2026 at Hotel Altus Palace in Wrocław.
The training is designed to help the local tourism industry better prepare for working with Korean guests and improve the quality of intercultural customer service. With the growing number of tourists from South Korea visiting Wrocław, understanding their expectations, customs, and communication style has become an important part of providing professional hospitality services.

Training Programme
During the session, participants will learn about:
- the profile and characteristics of Korean tourists,
- cultural customs and communication styles,
- expectations regarding service standards and travel organisation,
- the most common cultural differences affecting guest experiences,
- practical aspects of serving Korean tour groups,
- dining preferences and attitudes towards meals,
- factors influencing the comfort and satisfaction of Korean visitors,
- examples of best practices and the most common service mistakes.
The training will have a practical format based on real-life experiences and situations encountered in the tourism industry.
About the Speaker
The training will be led by Maria Smirnov-Muzalewska, a specialist in Polish-Korean cooperation with more than 10 years of experience in intercultural communication, business negotiations, and translation services. She has worked, among others, for KOTRA – the Commercial Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea – supporting Korean companies entering the Polish market.
She specialises in business communication and cultural differences between Europe and South Korea. Her background includes Korean studies and management, as well as extensive experience working in an international environment.
Participation in the training is free of charge; however, the number of places is limited. All participants will receive a certificate confirming their attendance.
The project is co-financed by the budget of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Government.
